Getting stuck in for a good cause
Creating a public workshop space for artists, makers and the community…
The Social Programme recently teamed up with the Mayor of London’s ‘Team London’ campaign and Create London, who help local artists connect more closely with communities. The team all came together on Saturday 24th September to help renovate the Old Manor Park Library in Newham (which is Grade II listed). The project aims to turn the building into a publicly accessible workspace for artists, makers and the community. The team were delighted to help such a worthwhile project and make a difference in the local community.
Both students and staff rolled up their sleeves and picked up a paint brush to show their support. Find out more about this project and discover how you can get involved.
